WELCOME TO MY COLLAB
A place to connect & collaborate with a Casting Director.
THE COLLAB
Once the quarantine hit, I needed a way to stay connected to my work and to actors. So I started up one-on-one coaching with actors to help all of us work while experiencing our new reality. Now I am continuing with coaching along side my casting career. I have set aside limited time to continue these sessions. Whether you want to try a new scene, dust off an old monologue or work on an audition, we can work it out together.

DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!
Testimonials from clients...

"One-on-one coaching with Jamie has been the most timely and helpful experience of my career. As self-tapes and virtual auditions are becoming more commonplace, Jamie has given me tools and experience to become more seasoned while auditioning from home. Her knowledge of the casting landscape is vast and current, and she is excellent in giving me constructive feedback and actionable steps toward improving my career. I would highly recommend Jamie to any actor who wants to level-up their game."

"This is Us"
"Coaching with Jamie, I have booked 3 roles off self tapes during quarantine, including a Guest Star role! And I pinned another Guest Star role as well! Jamie works in such a positive, collaborative way, helping me break down the sides and translate them into bookable self-tapes. Eyelines, actions, dealing with props, beats, etc. - she really knows how to navigate these things in an audition. Clearly it works because I've been booking and pinned like crazy!"
"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

LITTLE TIPS
Tips to help guide you on your way...
ZOOM ROOM READY
By now you have been in your home long enough that you have a self tape area ready. Make sure that area is where your strongest internet connection is. That is what I call the Zoom Room. Now with Live Virtual Auditions via Eco-Cast or Zoom, the last thing you want is to freeze or delay during your audition. You need a backdrop, preferably blue, good lighting (play with what you have in your house before buying something), a reader for self tapes (either in person or on the phone) and we need to hear you well. A mic is not always necessary but may be a good idea if you live in a loud area.
QUICK THOUGHTS
Headshot - The way you walk thru the door should be how you look in your picture. That being said, the picture shouldn't be you on your most glam day but should be how you look every day. Also, I don't need to see more than 3 different looks. If it's more than that, you have too many.
Slate Shots - I don't care for them. Maybe they bump you up on the breakdown but really, no one cares. And if the CD sorts alphabetically, it doesn't even matter anyway. Don't feed the algorithm.
Reels - I don't use them much. Others do. Agents like them. You can just have one. You don't have to separate them into individual clips. Keep it as one.
